Steve Bishop
Pastor
Steve has served at Chester Freedom Ministries since 1980. He is gifted as a pastor-teacher and has a knack for telling it like it is. His messages focus on taking Biblical principles and teaching how they apply to everyday life. He has led the church through many changes to prepare and equip us to reach and teach those in our world. Steve serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Good Samaritan Medical Clinic and the Cottages of Chester Village. Steve and wife, Shelia, have three grown children; Brantly, Chara and Jordan. They have wonderful grandchildren: Caden, Kendal, and Skye.
Angie Etters
Administration
Angie Etters joined the staff in September 2004. She is responsible for administration as she serves the staff and church family at CFM. She assists our pastors, handles communication to the church, and administrates the financials of our church. Angie has also been involved with Horizons Christian Academy since 2002 and now serves as treasurer for the HCA Board of Directors. Angie’s husband, Dean, serves as a deacon of Chester Freedom Ministries where they and their three children, Krista, Jeremy and Kaylee are actively involved.
Chris Goodwin
Music & Media Director
Chris Goodwin moved from playing guitar in our worship band to leading worship at Chester Freedom Ministries in 2008. Chris has a team of very gifted musicians and singers who lead our church family in worship each week. Chris is also our media and technology coordinator — combining his technical knowledge with the arts. Chris and his wife Erica married in 2009 and moved to Chester 2010. They are blessed with three sons: Hollis, Hudson, and Hughes.
Bill Stallings
Pastor
Bill Stallings has served as our Pastor since July 2004 and is a graduate of Trinity College of the Bible & Trinity Theological Seminary with a B.A in Biblical Counseling. He and his wife Teri, have two grown children, Kristin and Landon. God has given Bill a heart for teaching people how to have a deeper relationship with Christ through practical preaching, mentoring, and biblical discipleship that equips believers with the tools they need to live a victorious life in Christ. He is deeply interested in teaching people who they are in Christ while helping them find their gifting and place in the body of Christ. He is also passionate about ministering to our church family through pastoral care and counseling.
Nate Malone
Youth & CHILDREN'S DIRECTOR
Nate Malone earned his degree in Christian Studies and Youth Ministry from North Greenville University in 2000. He oversees the team of volunteers that serve in nursery and children’s ministries. He also ministers to our youth alongside a team of people with a heart for young people in both our church and in this community. Nate has dedicated his life to youth ministry since 1999 and made Chester Freedom Ministries his home in 2008. Nate is also involved in a community youth ministry as part of a group of local churches known as Open Door. Nate ministers with his wife, Chara. Nate and Chara have one beautiful daughter, Kendal who was born in September 2012.
Ronnie Kanipe
Facilities Manager
Ronnie Kanipe has served the Lord and those at Chester Freedom Ministries while maintaining our facilities and grounds since November 2002. He is responsible for building maintenance, janitorial services, and ground care. This is no small task since the building is used nearly 12 hours per day during the week not including Sunday services and special events. Ronnie and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Elijah and Levi and one daughter, Alexandria.
