WEEK 2: DAY 13
A Call to Declaration - Jesus the Son, The Victorious One
"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." -1 John 3:8
"Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God..." -1 John 3:1
"Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? -1 John 5:5
The perfect Father/Son relationship destroyed the work of the enemy; perfect and anointed LOVE broke off the yoke of bondage! This is powerful! Knowing His identity in His Father, Jesus could fully trust and obey - even in the hardest and darkest nights of the soul. His identity as the Son filled His natural heart with supernatural love, giving Him all authority over the enemy. And behold! What manner of love is this that we who believe in Him should also be called the sons of God? What love! What an inheritance we have! Because Jesus overcame the evil one, we overcome!
The tragedy is found in those who don't fully know of this amazing truth, or have yet to receive all that is rightfully theirs in Christ Jesus. Fear and disappointment festers in those who do not understand their Father's love and intentions for them, bringing us to this historical hour of need in which we now live. Jesus, won the victory on the Cross! We can walk in victory if we get to know Jesus by spending time in His Word and in prayer. Don't quit-run the race and finish well! Victory in Jesus!
As massive identity crisis grips our nation, sons and daughters of God must arise and cry out to the Father on behalf of this spiritually orphaned generation. Let us arise and heed this call to prayer and action! As we draw near to the One who overcame, we become a part of the answer to a lost generation! Oh, that this generation would see Jesus - Son of God, Son of man - manifested to us and in us!
"And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." -Luke 1:17
We must respond to this generational identity crisis by preparing our own hearts to cry out for God to use us as He wants to, and to be the answer to an orphaned generation! We must share who Jesus is to a lost generation.
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." -Revelation 3:19
Jesus, is calling us to repent for not making ready a people prepared for His return. He stands at the door and knocks. Let us repent for not answering the door. As we open the door to sup with Him, He will teach us what it means to be true and mature sons and daughters, resulting in a manifestation of the spiritual fathers and mothers we need to be in order to raise up this next generation in the love of God.
"The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
Father, let Your Spirit be in me that I may know the width, depth and length of Your great love and all You have done for me. Oh, that I would be like You, Jesus! I want to walk in victory, in victory over sin, overallowing any worldly pleasures to take the place of the pleasure of knowing You! That I would be bold in You, that I would love as You love. Let me share your love, let me walk in forgiveness and lift the name of Jesus high. May You be gloried in my life, in my city, in my state and in my nation! Father, I ask in Jesus' Name, for a fresh infilling of your Father-heart for myself, so I can overflow with your love, grace and mercy onto others. Give me a desire to reach my generation. Pour out the spirit of adoption upon me, and give me supernatural love, to love the unlovely, the broken, and the destitute. May I realize they are only that way because they don't know you intimately. I want to be part of the solution and not the problem, so break my heart with the things that break yours! I want to daily fall more in love with You! I walk to know You, Jesus, the Victorious One and walk in victory!
Jesus, I fix my gaze upon you! I lift up Your name and declare my love to You! Thank you for making a way and giving me access to the Father and His great love. I chase after You with all that is within me, right up to the front battle lines! You have set a banqueting table in front of me and in the presence of my enemies. I worship you in spirit and in truth, and as I lift Your Name on high, you will draw all men unto you! Hallelujah!
We encourage you to put some worship music on to bring you to a time of soaking in His presence, declaring love to Jesus! Sing songs to Jesus! He loves it when we worship Him. As we set our affections on Him, oh how we are changed into His likeness!
